THEATER SALPURI is run by the director, author and drama teacher Dietmar Lenz VITA,
which he founded in Berlin in 1994 together with the actress Soogi Kang.

Since then THEATRE SALPURI has developed into a multi-disciplinary, cross-cultural artistic platform. Here international actors, stage designers, costume designers, musicians, writers, photographers and video artists meet, often with very different cultural and artistic backgrounds. Eurasian-Asian body- and movement techniques, contemporary dance theater, Grotowski's poor theater and theatre with objects open a field of experimentation and research to create contemporary urban theater.
